universal navigation
THE PROBLEM
Finding a navigation structure that would work with our site structure & architecture, provide maximum screen real estate, & create a smooth user experience.
MY ROLE
Find the right users to test with, run those testing sessions and help compile the feedback received to make iterations and come to a decision.
Research phase
We studied the challenges of other sites that force users to click through multiple pages or tiers to reach their destination.
STAND UPS
We held biweekly UI/UX design reviews to collaborate on questions and iterations, ensuring that our designs were user-centered and effective.
user testing
We conducted ongoing user testing to ensure that our designs were functional, aesthetically pleasing, and easy to use. We also left room for exploration and improvement, as we believe that the best designs are never finished.
conclusion
After analyzing and compiling user feedback, the developers researched the appropriate libraries and created a proof of concept. The UX team then transitioned the project to the scrum teams for implementation.
